“Chinese scientists have developed a drone as small as a mosquito that can be used for military purposes. According to a report by private TV channel Geo News, a robotics laboratory at China’s National University of Defense Technology (NUDT) has created this drone robot. A report on this was broadcast on China Central Television (CCTV). During the report, a researcher from NUDT, Liang Hexiang, showcased the drone. Liang Hexiang said, ‘In my hand, I have a robot drone the size of a mosquito. Such small robots can be used for information gathering and special missions on the battlefield. ‘The drone has two tiny wings that resemble leaves and very thin legs. According to the report, this prototype drone can be controlled via a smartphone. The development of such drones poses challenges in fitting sensors, power devices, control circuits, and other components. These tiny drones can be used by the military to survey their surroundings but can also be used for medical purposes.”
