Pakistan’s national hockey team has returned home after participating in the Nations Hockey Cup. The Green Shirts had successfully reached the final.
In the final of the Nations Cup, the Pakistan team failed to deliver a strong performance against New Zealand. However, the national players, who displayed excellent performances throughout the tournament, have now arrived home. Officials from the Pakistan Hockey Federation were present at Allama Iqbal International Airport to welcome the team.
Family members and fans were also present at the airport to greet the players. In the final, New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 6 goals to 2.
The national hockey team had qualified for the final by defeating France in the semi-final through a penalty shootout after an impressive display.
